Ask about participation fees, travel, meals, equipment, event entry and any fundraising expectations. Find out what support is available before assuming a program is free. Historical statements about one team’s funding do not describe every group today.
Look beyond a single technical role
Robotics projects can involve design, programming, assembly, testing, documentation and explaining work to others. Ask how newcomers try different roles and how the group makes room for students who have no previous experience.
Agree on practical arrangements
Check drop-off and collection rules, supervision during travel, tool training and photo permissions. Keep the organizer’s current contact details. This general guide does not provide enrollment, safeguarding policies or meeting arrangements for the former Archytas team.
